Text-to-pay: faster pickups and fewer end-of-day surprises

Letting customers pay from a text message shortens pickup time and reduces the stack of unpaid tickets at close. How to roll it out smoothly.

Pickup is the last impression a customer has of your shop. Standing in line to pay is not the impression you want.

How text-to-pay works

When the work is complete, send the customer a secure payment link by text or email. They review the invoice on their phone and pay by card. The payment posts to the invoice and repair order automatically.

When to send the link

Send it with the "vehicle ready" message. Customers who pay before arriving can pick up keys and go.

Keep it personal

Use a template that includes your shop name, the vehicle and a short thank-you. A link with no context looks like spam.

Reconcile with confidence

Because each payment is tied to the invoice, your end-of-day report reflects what actually came in — no manual matching of terminal receipts.
